Snow Day information: In case we have a snow day, please follow these directions...
Go outside and play in the snow! Go out again and make a snow fort! :)
For science: go outside and look for animal prints. See paper below for ideas and for a paper showing you different animal prints to look for in your backyard.
When you're warmed up inside, don't watch TV until you have completed about half of these activities. Then go outside and play again in the snow, then come back and complete the rest if time allows! :)
1. Re-read your BagABook to a different adult, then read to one of your stuffed animals.
2. Practice your sight words for this month - know them fluently - read them like you're talking!
3. Practice your handwriting by writing your sight words for this month.
4. Math - work on your current math packet for the chapter we're doing at school. If this is done, practice your addition and subtraction facts up to 20. Also, go to the Westerville City Schools website, go to "Staff" Portal (purple tab on top), then to ETIS - Tech Integration Specialists, then scroll on left side (blue column) to Math Resources, K-1 Math practice by area. There are many games, practice math activities here that have been loaded by one of our technology experts for the district. No username or password necessary.
5. Xtra math - get on the website using the username and password I gave your parents at conferences in October.
6. Infohio - this is a free website that you can listen to books from. Go to Bookflix - username: Infohio and password is: power. Listen/read 2 books. Write these down in your reading log from your BagABook bag and be ready to tell me what they were about.
7. Work on your monthly goals - packet sent home at the beginning of each month.
8. Practice your spelling words using the list from Monday.
